What amazes you?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 02, 2008:

I feel the most amazed when I find something that opens up a new level of the Universe to me, and in the moment of the discovery, I'm clear that it is a gift of serendipity from the Unseen.

In those moments, I feel as if powerful and nurturing Friends in another dimension are standing all around me, loving me, ecstatic in their gift proferred. Often I cry in the space of this experience.

One of my favorite quotes beautifully expresses this. It is from Rob Bresny's book, "Pronoia":

Act as if the Universe is a prodigious miracle created for your amusement and illumination. Assume that secret helpers are working behind the scenes to assist you in turning into the gorgeous masterpiece you were born to be. Join the conspiracy to shower all of creation with blessings.

I was most recently amazed -- several times, in fact! -- over the Holiday Season that just came to a close. My business closes between Christmas and New Year, so I had 11 days off to spend snuggled in with my husband and daughter and close family and friends. This period every year, which I spend in deep contemplation reviewing the previous year and setting my intentions for the New Year before me, comes alive with amazement.

As I went into this 11 day retreat experience, I was clear that I stood on the threshold of a new direction in my life. Cycles are coming to a close; I could sense a new beginning emerging. And yet, I was unclear just what that was.

I've been experiencing a deep unease for some time. I've long desired to devote my life, full time, 24/7, to the work of planetary transformation. I identify myself as a "Transformational Activist." I yearn to surrender fully and completely to this calling. It is my deep and abiding passion.

I've had the growing realization that I'm standing with one foot in the world of the old paradigm, and one foot in the world of the new. Recently, I've received the inspiration to go back to graduate school and professionally immerse myself in an area of transformational work.

Over this past 11 days, I was led to explore Wisdom University. What opened up for me out of my exploration was a whole new world of possibility. I'm entering 2008 with a direction that I couldn't have imagined, before the Holiday Season began.

I am surprised. I am delighted. I am AMAZED!

What's your favorite way to meet people?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 06, 2008:

I enjoy meeting people through the transformational activities I participate in. I have been taking classes through Landmark Education pretty regularly since 2001, and my entire social circle presently is composed of Landmark graduates, plus people I've met through them. It's like a physical Zaadz community!

I've been holding monthly "Gatherings" at my home for more than two years, and my circle has grown through this. I feel blessed to have a Landmark Education center within an hour's drive from me. This has given me the opportunity to meet large numbers of people in my local area who are into transformation, possibility, and changing the world.

When was the last time you really met a stranger?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 16, 2008:

Several years ago, I was in a Landmark Education course, and on break went into a fast food restaurant across the street. Inspired by the course, I asked a total stranger if I could sit with him. I'm sure he was inititally surprised. We entered into an amazing conversation about our lives. Ever since, I've been so aware that we all could do that anytime, with each other. It's altered my view of life completely. We are all just a conversation away from relatedness.
